Serving Houston, TX

The Porsche 911 has been making waves in the automotive world for almost 60 years with its impressive, powerful capabilities and premium features. In 2020, the 911’s eighth generation debuted, which ushered in stunning improvements from bumper to bumper. Now that you are trying to decide between buying the 2021 Porsche 911 and the 2022 version, you understandably want to know how these two options differ. Our Momentum Porsche sales team is available to stand by your side as you walk through your comparison and when you take your top picks from our extensive inventory out for a spin.

Performance

In 2021, the Porsche 911 is available in eight trim levels, and there are four powertrains between them. The base-level engine is a 3.0-liter V6 engine that generates 379 horsepower. The top powertrain available for the 2021 model year is a 640-horsepower V6 engine on the other end of the spectrum. For 2022, these engines and trim levels continue to be available and are unchanged. However, the 2022 model year also introduces the GTS and GT3 trim levels. The GTS is powered by a 473-horsepower, 3.0-liter V6 engine. The GT3 has a 502-horsepower, 4.0-liter V6 engine.

Appearance

The Porsche 911 retains its round headlights and pointed nose since its debut decades ago. Between 2021 and 2022, the façade is unchanged, except for minor badging and wheel differences in the new GTS and GT3 trim levels. The modern façade is defined by a pair of exhaust finishers and a thin light bar at the rear, a large air vent near the rear fender, and the option for a convertible roof.

Features

Inside, you will notice a critical difference between the 2021 and 2022 versions of the 911. In 2022, the 911 gets an updated interface for the Apple CarPlay and Android Auto technologies. In some or all trims for both model years, the Porsche 911 has a Bose sound system, premium materials, a sunroof, ambient lighting, a surround-view camera system, and a host of other elite features.
