2022 Porsche Macan vs 2022 Porsche Cayenne

Serving Houston, TX

For the last few years, Porsche SUV shoppers have had several impressive options to choose from. The Macan debuted in 2015, and it has been spectacularly improved from year to year since its release. The Cayenne has been offered for a more extended period, and it broke into its third generation in 2019. Our Momentum Porsche sales associates are excited to tell you more about these top options and help you make a selection that you can enjoy for years to come.

Performance

Several powertrains are available for both of these models. The Macan’s base-level trim is a 2.0-liter, four-cylinder engine that produces 261 horsepower. A twin-turbo V6, 2.9-liter engine that generates 375 horsepower is also offered. The Macan’s top powertrain is a more advanced version of the twin-turbo V6 engine, and it gives you 434 horsepower. The Cayenne’s base engine is a turbo 3.0-liter V6 engine that generates 335 horsepower. The hybrid Cayenne trim uses this same V6 engine to produce 455 net horsepower. An all-new 4.0-liter V8 engine gives you 453 horsepower. A turbo version of this V8 engine delivers 541 horsepower.

Appearance

There are differences throughout the exteriors of these crossover SUVs as well. The Macan has a sporty profile with a long, cascading hood, a rounded nose, and a curved roof. The wraparound grille and the teardrop headlights that Porsche is known for add style to the nose. The rear has a spoiler, a connected LED taillight bar, and quad exhaust tips. The Cayenne has greater curvature through the hood and a flatter roof. The rounded nose shows off pointed, teardrop-shaped headlights. The sides have a lower-body definition for distinction.

Features

You will find several shared features throughout the interiors of these crossovers. They are both designed with a cockpit-style interior and premium features. They also both have Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, adaptive cruise control, an auto climate management system, a premium sound system, heated seats, and a range of other desired features. The Macan has a 10.9-inch touch display screen. The Cayenne adds a 12.3-inch display screen along with wireless smart device integration and a navigation system.
