Ozark Tour Update

2011 Ozark Update; #3
Fall trip Nov. 6 thru Nov. 11, or Oct. 23 thru Oct. 28.
Need something fresh and exciting?  Tired of the same old thrilling trip?  2011 promises 50 miles of new roller coaster track for your Porsche.  Do you want a better ride back home?  How about some really fun breakfasts to start your days?
By splitting into two trips the groups will be smaller.  We took a few things that were working very well and added some things that will keep the trip fresh and exciting.  The format is similar, but the content has been improved.  What are you waiting for?
It's getting close to that time when reservations should start coming in.  The November trip is starting to run low on king rooms at Big Cedar, otherwise availability is still good.  I do encourage the procrastinators to step it up.
For those who are new or not familiar to the trips, this is the first year that the trip has become a business.   I am now much more dependent upon the trip's success.
While pricing has been held to previous trip levels the content and services are surprisingly improved over previous trips.  Of course, this only works for me if both trips sell out.
While I realize that some of the regular participants cannot make it this fall, I ask that you do your best to either participate and/ or encourage someone else to take your place.  The future of the trip and my future depend on your support.  Yes, all the eggs are in one basket, but I can guarantee great eggs and a great basket.
This road trip is the only trip of its kind.  Porsche owners will experience a driving vacation like no other.  Actually those who can least afford the time off are the ones who need and enjoy the trip the most.  Please view the Ozark Tour as therapeutic.  I'm not sure if you can claim it as a medical deduction, but it certainly helps sooth what ails you.
Mt. Magazine provides a great jumping off point for our teams of three cars or less to make their way to Big Cedar Lodge the following day.  The small team concept encourages a lower profile and safer way for like cars and drivers to enjoy these fabulous roads.  This also dramatically reduces the pressure to drive outside your comfort zone.  We accommodate all varieties of Porsche and driving skills.
Activities are balanced between organized and your preference.  In other words, it's your trip.  You're welcome to join in group projects, just chill at the resort, or explore the roads on your own.  These roads showcase Porsche's engineering prowess.  You will, undoubtedly, come away with a new appreciation for your Porsche.
The dinners bring us all back together to share the events of the day as well as some terrific food.  Thank you to those who have already signed up.
I encourage questions and will try to modify the format, where possible, to accommodate any of your scheduling or special needs.  If it's not asking too much, please let me know your intentions so I can plan accordingly.
We will be getting together to pass out trip books, shirts, radios, and Arkansas State Trooper stickers before departing.
For those who prefer not to get up early for our Sunday morning departure, consider driving up to Marshall, TX the afternoon before.  The Hampton Inn is almost next door to the Golden Corral where the caravan will arrive around 10:14 AM.  Hopefully you can join in the fun.
